Welcome to SunState Aviation

The Leader in Flight Training

SunState Aviation was founded in the Spring of 2002 when owner & founder, Steve Graham, saw a need for a quality flight training center which would both serve the needs of local student pilots & abroad. SunState started with only one airplane and about 500 sq. ft. of rented space; now, fast forward to almost twenty years later & SunState has grown into a 16,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art training center with a fleet of 10 training aircraft.

FAA Approved

SunState Aviation is a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 61 & 141 approved flight school, meaning that our facilities, aircraft, flight instructors, and training syllabus have all passed under the rules and guidelines of both the US Government and aviation-recognized standard-bearers. So rest assured that your flight training experience will be of the highest quality and your training will result in you becoming a safe and knowledgeable pilot!

SunState Aviation is also a Cessna Pilot Center! No matter where you learn to fly, your classroom will be the Cessna Skyhawk. It’s a joy to fly – in fact, it’s the most popular airplane ever made. But make no mistake – this Cessna definitely doesn’t have training wheels. The Skyhawk comfortably carries two adults and their luggage up to 14,000 feet at a pulse-quickening 140 mph (225 kph).

More pilots come to Cessna Pilot Centers to get their wings than any other flight school in the country. CPC will prepare you for your pilot’s license in every way, from learning all about the laws of physics that keep you aloft, to taking your first flight, to taking your pilot’s exam all the way to regular solo flying as a licensed pilot.

It’s time to take to the skies and make your dreams of flight a reality. A Cessna Pilot Center is the place to teach you how to make your dreams soar. So go ahead – you’re cleared for takeoff.

Dear Steve,

I can’t thank you enough for everything SunState Aviation did in preparing me for my commercial pilot oral & flight exam. Anyone wanting to learn or earn an additional rating should pursue their aviation goals with you.
