For about half the cost of a new car you can complete our accelerated Private Pilot training course, learn to fly, get your Private Pilot License and enjoy a lifetime of memorable flying experiences.
Learn at your own, best pace where your learning curve is maximized. No forced - drinking from the fire-hose style training. With our FAA Approved Accelerated Private Pilot training program, we simply place you in an environment where your own individual capacity to learn is maximized.
"...within the limits of fatigue, I believe the more quickly one learns something, the better they will learn, because when a student learns over a shorter period of time, the experiences are more recent and vivid." - John King, co-owner of King Schools
Many students take several months or even years, and more than 80 hours to get their pilot license with traditional pilot training.
Our students starting from zero, typically finish with 40 to 50 hours of flight training and our success-rate is better than 90% on the first attempt!
Read this first: Many flight schools advertise pricing that only includes aircraft rental, flight instruction and ground instruction. This may give the appearance that their pricing is less than their competitors, but in reality, they are only telling half of the story. They conveniently leave out fuel surcharges, cost of training materials, charts, the designated examiner's fee, etc. We feel this is a deceptive practice (the old bait-and-switch) and so we choose to tell the whole story up-front. No Hidden Charges or Fuel Surcharges Choose from 4 options for a 21-day program or our new 14-day VIP program (see option 4) Yes! We do Finish-up training!

This sheet is intended for informational purposes only and reflects estimated costs of all aspects of this training course. The hour requirements and associated costs are based on the average training time to complete the course and pass the FAA Practical Test. Your actual time to completion will vary. All prices subject to change without notice. Aircraft hourly rental rates quoted above include fuel and are based on a pre-paid block purchase of 20 hours or more. Any additional flight hours or instruction will generate additional costs.
A word about our pricing and rates: SunState Aviation's commitment to you, our students and customers is to provide the highest quality training and aircraft rental possible, combined with the very best possible customer service at the very best prices and hourly rates possible. We do not add fuel surcharges or any other hidden charges to our rental rates (a 7% local sales tax is added to non-instructional aircraft rentals), nor do we falsely inflate our rental rates in order to offer "special cut-rate deals." Our rates are competitive and our block discounts are already as low as we can possibly go. Please do not ask us to depart from our published rates. The prices and rates published on this web-site are the effective rates at the time that you viewed them and are subject to change. Thank you for your understanding.
